21-year-old striker Anas Yusuf of Nasarawa United has officially emerged as the Top Scorer in the 2024/25 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season, netting an impressive 18 goals to claim the coveted Golden Boot.
Yusuf’s clinical finishing and consistency earned him national recognition, including a ₦3.6 million cash prize from the Eunisell Boot Award and an additional ₦2 million from the NPFL board for his outstanding performance2. His goals were pivotal in helping Nasarawa United avoid relegation and finish mid-table.

Speaking at the award ceremony in Abuja, Yusuf expressed gratitude for the honor, saying, “This award motivates me to push harder, and I hope to surpass my goal-scoring record next season.”
Football analysts and former coaches, including Salisu Yusuf, have praised Anas for his pace, skill, and aerial ability, calling him one of Nigeria’s rising stars.
