The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arraigned popular social media influencer Blessing Okoro, widely known as Blessing CEO, over an alleged ₦36 million fraud case.
According to reports, Blessing CEO was brought before the Federal High Court in Lagos, where she faced multiple counts related to alleged financial misconduct and fraudulent dealings. The EFCC accused her of obtaining money under false pretenses and using her online platforms to facilitate questionable transactions.
During the court proceedings, Blessing CEO pleaded not guilty to the charges. Her legal counsel requested bail, arguing that she is a public figure with a fixed address and no intention of evading trial. The presiding judge adjourned the case for further hearing and consideration of the bail application.
The influencer, known for her outspoken personality and relationship advice content, has been trending across social media since news of her arraignment broke. Reactions have been mixed with some fans expressing support, while others call for accountability and transparency among public figures.
The EFCC reiterated its commitment to tackling financial crimes and warned that social media popularity would not shield anyone from the law.
