President Bola Tinubu has revealed what the $7 billion Ogun Deep Seaport project will bring to Nigeria, emphasizing its potential to transform the nation’s economy. The project, located in Ogun State, is expected to serve as a major gateway for international trade, boosting Nigeria’s maritime capacity and reducing congestion at existing ports.
Tinubu noted that the seaport will create thousands of jobs, attract foreign investment, and enhance Nigeria’s position as a regional trade hub. The project is also expected to improve logistics efficiency, lower shipping costs, and strengthen the country’s non-oil revenue base.
This development underscores the administration’s focus on infrastructure as a driver of economic growth, with the Ogun Deep Seaport positioned to play a critical role in Nigeria’s long-term prosperity.
