Nollywood star Regina Daniels recently shared that she met her husband, Delta North Senator Ned Nwoko, during an outing with one of her ex-boyfriends. In a candid Instagram Live, the actress explained, “I went to visit my boyfriend, and although I wasn’t thrilled about going sightseeing, fate had other plans when I met a very charming man.” She humorously added, “The moral of the story is, your boyfriend shouldn’t stop you from meeting your husband.”
Despite opposition from her entire family, including her mother, Regina married Nwoko in May 2019 in Aniocha Local Government Area, Delta State, overcoming both family objections and a significant age gap. Speaking about the union, the 63-year-old politician said, “I wanted to marry a wife from my place, and I was looking for the right person. By the time I met her, I knew she must be the one.”
Reflecting on her dating past, Regina admitted, “When I started with my husband, I forgot I was supposed to have boyfriends; of course, I had like 20. When people think I didn’t have a choice, I’m like, what?” She also addressed the rumors, clarifying, “People thought my mum forced me, not knowing she was actually against the marriage. My whole family said no.
