Nigerian music stars Adekunle Gold and Simi have welcomed a set of twin babies, delighting fans and well-wishers across social media. The couple shared the good news via Adekunle Gold’s Snapchat on Wednesday, with the singer expressing gratitude for “another child” and describing the arrival as a double blessing.
In his announcement, Adekunle Gold, whose real name is Adekunle Kosoko, wrote, “Asked God for another child and He blessed me double.” The post was accompanied by celebratory reactions from fans, colleagues and entertainment figures congratulating the couple on the new additions to their family.
Speculation about the pregnancy had been building since late December 2025, after Simi appeared with a visible baby bump in the music video for Adekunle Gold’s single My Love Is The Same. Simi also shared an Instagram post captioned, “From my baby, for my babies,” which fuelled anticipation ahead of the twins’ birth announcement.
The couple, who married in January 2019, already have one child, their daughter Adejare “Deja” Kosoko, born in May 2020. Fans and industry colleagues have flooded social media with congratulatory messages, celebrating the expansion of one of Nigeria’s most admired celebrity families.
