The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has imposed a ₦9 million fine on Katsina United FC and ordered the club to play all remaining home matches behind closed doors in Jos, following violent incidents during their 1–1 draw with Barau FC on Saturday.

The disciplinary action comes after fans reportedly engaged in disruptive and violent behavior, prompting league officials to take swift measures to ensure safety and uphold the integrity of the competition.
This sanction includes:
- ₦9 million in fines for crowd trouble and breach of league regulations
- Relocation of all home fixtures to Jos, Plateau State
- Ban on spectators for the remainder of the season
The NPFL emphasized its zero-tolerance stance on violence and urged clubs to improve security and crowd control mechanisms.
