Amosun Demolished My Cement Plant Twice – Dangote.

Aliko Dangote, President of Dangote Group, has accused former Ogun State Governor Ibikunle Amosun of demolishing his cement plant in Itori, Ewekoro Local Government Area, on two separate occasions during Amosun’s tenure. Dangote claimed that the demolitions, which included the factory’s fencing during the second incident, forced him to halt the project until the intervention of the current governor, Dapo Abiodun.

In response, Amosun’s media aide, Lanre Akinwale, challenged Dangote to provide the necessary approvals for the construction of the structures allegedly demolished. Akinwale emphasized that no individual or company is above the law and that the former administration operated based on legal standards.

The new cement facility in Itori is expected to feature two 6,000-ton-per-day clinker production lines, encompassing limestone crushing, cement packaging, and shipping operations. This development aims to bolster Ogun State’s status as an industrial hub.

Additionally, Dangote revealed plans to construct Nigeria’s largest seaport in Ogun Waterside Local Government Area. He emphasized that the new port would significantly boost the country’s import and export capacity, reducing congestion at existing ports and facilitating smoother trade operations. According to him, the port project aligns with his broader vision to enhance Nigeria’s industrial and economic landscape. The planned infrastructure is expected to attract more investors, create jobs, and further cement Ogun State’s status as a leading industrial hub in Nigeria.
