In a recent visit to his childhood neighborhood in Agege, Lagos, Small Doctor observed disturbing scenes of young men under the influence of substances, some appearing disoriented or in unnatural postures. He described the situation as “heartbreaking” and called for intensified advocacy against drug abuse, urging public figures to lend their voices to the cause .
Reflecting on a conversation from six years ago with Fuji legend Wasiu Ayinde (KWAM 1), Small Doctor recalled advice to establish a rehabilitation center, which he now sees as a pressing need due to the worsening drug crisis. He also mentioned a content creator known for anti-drug abuse advocacy, stating that his influence is greatly needed at this moment .
The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) reports that over 14.3 million Nigerians, between the ages of 15 and 64, are involved in drug abuse, with a concerning rise in female users. The prevalence of substances like tramadol, codeine, and methamphetamine has led to significant public health and social challenges .
