Don jazzy contributes N100m to VeryDarkman’s NGO

Social media personality VeryDarkMan has revealed that renowned music producer Michael Collins Ajereh, widely known as Don Jazzy, is the anonymous benefactor behind the ₦100 million donation to his newly launched Non-Governmental Organisation.

VeryDarkMan, who previously announced that the NGO will focus on community development and enhancing public schools, had initially raised suspicions in a video on his Instagram account, questioning the substantial deposit and calling for an investigation by Zenith Bank.

“@zenithbankplc, kindly investigate my NGO account. I have no idea what’s happening and hope this isn’t a setup… I AM NOT INVOLVED IN MONEY LAUNDERING, I DO NOT ENGAGE IN FRAUD (FOR THE RECORD). Fellow Nigerians, please bear witness, I am unaware of what’s going on with the account,” he posted.

However, in a new video released on Thursday, VeryDarkMan confirmed that Don Jazzy had contacted him, explaining that he was the one who made the donation to support the initiative.

He explained “I panicked because I never expected anyone to send me ₦100 million out of the blue, so I thought it might be a mistake or that someone was trying to set me up. People had been donating small amounts like ₦50, ₦100, ₦200, ₦500, and so on, so it made sense for me to be alarmed.”

After reaching out to everyone he knew in an effort to identify the source of the funds, he finally received a message from Don Jazzy.

Don Jazzy’s message read, “Morning bro. I sent ₦100m to support. I believe in what you’re doing and trust your transparency. Best of luck with the project.”

After the reveal, Don Jazzy trended on X, with many praising his generosity. VeryDarkMan reaffirmed his commitment to transparency, promising updates on the funds, which had already reached ₦179 million just five days after the NGO’s launch.
