In an interview with TVC, Elliot shared that he had initially ignored the rumors because he felt they didn’t warrant a response. He expressed that his focus has always been on helping people, rather than reacting to baseless claims. Elliot clarified, “I’m straight. No one is straighter than me,” and suggested that public figures should not be forced to prove themselves against unfounded gossip.
Elliot also stressed the importance of tolerance and mutual respect, asserting that everyone has a right to live as they choose, as long as it’s within the law. He encouraged people to respect others’ choices and identities, saying that public life often makes individuals targets for gossip and speculation, but he prefers to focus on his contributions to society rather than confront such rumors. Elliot noted that while he respects people’s diverse identities, respect should be mutual.
