The Grammy-winning rapper, whose real name is Belcalis Almánzar, is being sued by Emani Ellis, who accuses her of assault, battery, negligence, and emotional distress during an incident at a Beverly Hills medical facility.
Ellis testified that Cardi B, who was four months pregnant at the time, spat on her, hurled racial slurs, body-shamed her, and scratched her face with a fingernail, leaving injuries that required plastic surgery. She claims the confrontation caused lasting physical and emotional harm.
