CAC and NIBSS Revolutionize Business Transactions with API Integration

The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has taken a groundbreaking step toward improving service efficiency by launching an API integration platform in collaboration with the Nigeria Inter-Bank Settlement System (NIBSS). The new system, inaugurated in Abuja, aims to enhance prompt service delivery by allowing selected private sector “super agents” to access and retrieve CAC data seamlessly.

Registrar-General of the CAC, Mr. Hussaini Magaji, emphasized that this move was driven by the increasing demand for efficient technological solutions. With the API integration, businesses can now consume CAC services through trusted super agents, including Moniepoint, Opay, and Oasis Management Company Limited.

Previously exclusive to government agencies, the API integration now extends to private organizations capable of offering specialized services while adhering to regulatory standards. Notably, the system aligns with the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023, ensuring that sensitive personal information remains protected.

NIBSS’s Executive Director for Business Development, Ngover Ihembe-Nwankwo, highlighted that this initiative fosters transparency, trust, and ease of doing business across Nigeria’s financial and corporate sectors. As digital transformation continues to reshape service delivery, this partnership marks a significant leap toward a more interconnected and efficient business ecosystem.
