Nigerian entertainer and nightlife influencer, Yhemolee, has expressed frustration over the growing trend of people using social media platforms to solicit money and favors.
In a recent post, the actor and hypeman lamented that many users now treat platforms like Instagram and X as personal begging grounds, sending unsolicited requests to celebrities and influencers. He noted that while some of these appeals may be genuine, the constant flood of requests has become overwhelming and often exploitative.
Yhemolee urged Nigerians to channel their creativity and effort into productive ventures rather than relying on online handouts. He added that social media should be a space for connection, innovation, and entertainment — not a place for constant financial pleas.
