Vatican: Pope Francis Resting Well After Respiratory Treatment.

The Vatican has provided an update on Pope Francis’ condition following two episodes of acute respiratory insufficiency. According to Vatican spokesperson Matteo Bruni, the Pope “slept well and is resting” after receiving medical intervention. He was placed on non-invasive mechanical ventilation and underwent two bronchoscopies to clear mucus secretions that had caused breathing difficulties.

Despite initial concerns, the Pope is now breathing without the aid of a mask, and his condition has stabilized. However, given his history of respiratory issues, doctors are closely monitoring his health. The Vatican has not announced any changes to his schedule but emphasized that he continues to remain “alert and cooperative.”

This latest health scare has sparked global concern, with Catholic communities around the world holding prayer vigils for his recovery. The Pope has previously battled lung-related complications, including the removal of part of his lung in his youth due to pleurisy.

For now, the Vatican assures that the 88-year-old pontiff is in stable condition, though his medical team remains cautious. Further updates are expected in the coming days as doctors assess his recovery progress.
