Seun Kuti, singer and son of Afrobeat icon Fela Kuti, shared how frustrated he felt when he wasn’t invited to Davido and Chioma Rowland’s wedding.
The couple exchanged vows on June 25 in Lagos, with an exquisitely lavish wedding graced by top figures from the entertainment industry, governors, celebrities and dignitaries.
Seun Kuti, appearing in the latest episode of ‘Curiosity Made Me Ask,’ hosted by content creator Bae U Barbie, revealed that he couldn’t sleep for a week after being left out of Davido’s wedding guest list.
The singer expressed his frustration, saying it hurt because Davido and his entourage used to drink beer at his family’s bar, the ‘Shrine,’ without paying.
In his words: “Davido would come to the African Shrine with 100 guys, and they’d drink without paying, but when it came to his wedding, I didn’t get an invitation. I was hurt; I couldn’t sleep for a week.”
