Nigerian content creator and TikTok star Habeeb Hamzat, popularly known as Peller, has sparked online debates after claiming he rejected a ₦3 billion offer from Netflix. According to him, the offer was made for his girlfriend and fellow influencer, Jarvis, to perform a kissing scene in a film project. The revelation was made during a live chat with singer Peter Okoye of P-Square.
Peller insisted that he had evidence to back up his claim, including a recorded video of the alleged negotiation. When Peter questioned the figure, asking if he meant ₦3 million instead, Peller confidently maintained that it was indeed ₦3 billion. He said he immediately turned down the offer to protect Jarvis’s image and their relationship.
“I warned them never to contemplate such ever again,” Peller stated. “I love my baby. I don’t joke with my baby. She is my life.” His remarks have since gone viral, with some social media users applauding his values, while others questioned the authenticity and logic of the claim, especially given the unusually high amount mentioned.
The incident has sparked conversations around the boundaries in public relationships, the sacrifices entertainers make for love, and the credibility of influencers in the spotlight. While Peller stands by his statement, Netflix has not responded to the allegation as of the time of this report.
