The Ondo State Government has approved the construction and rehabilitation of 101 kilometers of road projects across the state, alongside the development of a 216-bed hostel for corps members at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp in Ikare-Akoko.
The road initiative includes:
- 66.421 kilometers of new road construction
- 34.615 kilometers of road rehabilitation
These projects aim to improve transportation infrastructure, boost economic activity, and enhance access to rural communities. The hostel project is designed to provide better accommodation for National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members, ensuring comfort and safety during their orientation program.
Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa’s administration emphasized that the developments are part of a broader strategy to close infrastructure gaps and promote youth welfare in the state.
