Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, has called on the Federal Government of Nigeria to urgently address the nation’s persistent power supply challenges, stressing that economic growth cannot be achieved without reliable electricity.
Speaking at a recent forum, Dangote emphasized that industries and businesses across Nigeria are struggling under the weight of poor power infrastructure, which hampers productivity, discourages investment, and limits job creation. He noted that fixing electricity supply is critical to unlocking Nigeria’s full economic potential.
Dangote’s remarks have reignited debate on Nigeria’s energy crisis, with many stakeholders urging the government to prioritize renewable energy investments, grid expansion, and regulatory reforms to ensure stable and affordable power for citizens and businesses alike.
