In a thrilling display of grit and teamwork, the Nigerian Women’s Beach Volleyball Team has officially qualified for the 2025 FIVB World Championship, set to take place in Adelaide, Australia, from November 14 to 23.
The qualification came after a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Egypt at the CAVB Continental Championship in Morocco. The dynamic duo of Esther Mbah and Pamela Bawa led the charge, clinching the win with set scores of 21-14, 20-22, and 15-9, securing Nigeria’s spot as the third-best team in the tournament2.
Head coach Kayode Ajilore praised the team’s discipline and determination, stating, “They played to every instruction given to them. The girls were determined to represent the country in Australia for the world championship”.
