Dr. Abdul-Azeez Adediran, widely known as Jandor, has officially returned to the All Progressives Congress (APC). The former Lagos State governorship candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) announced his decision during a press conference held today in Ikeja, Lagos.
Jandor, leader of the Lagos4Lagos Movement, had previously resigned from the PDP on March 3, citing internal issues within the party. He emphasized that his return to the APC was driven by a commitment to the development of Lagos State and a belief that unity among progressives is essential for achieving collective aspirations.
He acknowledged the efforts of key figures such as President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila, and Seyi Tinubu in facilitating his return. Jandor expressed confidence that the APC offers a more viable platform to deliver good governance to all Lagosians, regardless of his position on future ballots.
This move comes shortly after Jandor’s meeting with President Tinubu in Abuja, signaling a significant realignment in Lagos State’s political landscape.
