Iyabo Ojo Fires Back at VeryDarkMan: “Posting Private Chats Is a Crime”.

Nollywood actress and activist Iyabo Ojo has formally responded to allegations made by social media critic VeryDarkMan, who claimed she led a secret WhatsApp group aimed at undermining justice for the late singer Mohbad. In a video posted on her verified page, she firmly refuted these claims and emphasized that sharing private chats without consent is illegal.

Addressing VeryDarkMan directly, Ojo stated:

“It’s a crime to post private chats, and I’m sure you know the law. But if the right authorities request it, I have people who can provide it. I’ve already left the group.”

Her statement follows VeryDarkMan’s accusation that she spearheaded a group chat featuring music figures like Samklef, Dre (Davido’s associate), and Jigan Baba Oja, which he said was used to shape public opinion and allegedly orchestrate his arrest. He further alleged that the group was involved in orchestrating the leak of his nude video and manipulating public sentiment against Mohbad.

While she didn’t address each claim in detail, Iyabo Ojo highlighted the legal implications of unauthorized leaks and made it clear she’s prepared to cooperate with official investigators. Her refusal to engage with the specifics of the allegations has sparked debate online, some applauding her stance, others questioning why the group’s existence hasn’t been formally denied by other named members.
