Afrobeats superstar Davido recently opened up about his newborn son’s striking resemblance to his late child, Ifeanyi, calling the likeness “scary.” In a heartfelt conversation with Ebro Darden on Apple Music 1, Davido reflected on the painful loss of Ifeanyi, who tragically drowned at his Banana Island residence in November 2022.

According to Davido, the resemblance between his new son and Ifeanyi left his family in awe. “It’s like he came back. We all say, ‘No, it’s him,’” the singer admitted, emphasizing how much the situation feels surreal.

A Journey of Healing & Purpose Davido also revealed that his Timeless album and marriage deepened his belief that “God is real.” The tragedy reshaped him, inspiring him to bring hope to others going through dark times.

Beyond music, Davido is now expanding his influence into film, executive producing a movie and series alongside director Dammy Twitch. Additionally, the artist confirmed he’s working on his own documentary, further showcasing his evolution beyond entertainment.

Fans have reacted with overwhelming support, commending Davido’s strength and resilience. As he continues to make history, his ability to turn heartbreak into purpose stands as a testament to his enduring legacy.
