The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has declared businesswoman and socialite Aisha Sulaiman Achimugu wanted for alleged criminal conspiracy and money laundering. In a public notice issued on Friday, March 28, 2025, the EFCC called on anyone with information about her whereabouts to contact the commission or the nearest police station.
Achimugu, 51, is the Managing Director/CEO of Felak Concept Group and is known to be an ally of Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu. Reports indicate that she is accused of secretly funneling funds to opposition leaders Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar during the 2023 elections.
Prior to being declared wanted, Achimugu was summoned to appear at the EFCC’s Port Harcourt office on March 5 regarding an ongoing investigation into alleged money laundering and a high-profile investment scam. A letter dated March 4, signed by the EFCC’s Acting Zonal Director in Port Harcourt, Adebayo Adeniyi, was delivered to her Abuja residence. However, Achimugu reportedly failed to honor the invitation and instead left Nigeria between March 6 and March 7.
The EFCC has urged anyone with useful information regarding Achimugu’s whereabouts to contact their offices across the country or reach out via their official communication channels.
