Comfort Emmanson, the real estate consultant at the center of the recent Ibom Air controversy, has finally broken her silence just days after her release. In an emotional Instagram video, she expressed gratitude to Nigerians for their overwhelming support during her ordeal, saying their solidarity gave her strength at a time she felt most humiliated.
She recounted how the August 10 incident began when a flight attendant insisted she switch off her phone despite its faulty power button. After an engineer-passenger assisted her, Emmanson said she was prevented from leaving the plane upon landing, dragged by her hair and clothes, and publicly exposed as onlookers filmed. The video, now widely circulated, has left her traumatized and unable to face clients or go out in public.
Emmanson stressed that her actions were born out of pain and humiliation, not malice, while denying false narratives and political motives. She apologized for her reaction during the confrontation, reaffirmed her character, and expressed her desire to heal, restore her dignity, and return to her normal life and career.
