The All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) is taking a bold step toward reshaping Africa’s creative industry with the launch of the AFRIMA Kreative Academy (TAKA). This initiative aims to equip 1.2 million young Africans with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in the global music industry over the next five years.
With the theme “Learn and Prosper,” the academy is designed to empower young Africans between 18 and 35 years old, focusing on underserved and vulnerable communities across the continent. AFRIMA’s founder and Executive Producer, Mike Dada, emphasized the urgent need for structured training in Africa’s growing music landscape, noting that despite the continent’s vast talent, access to professional development remains limited.
TAKA will provide world-class training in key areas such as music production, business and entrepreneurship, event technical production, digital technology, and the Internet of Things (IoT). By bridging the gap between raw talent and industry expertise, AFRIMA hopes to create a new generation of skilled professionals who can compete on a global scale.
Beyond education, AFRIMA is also gearing up for a global tour next year, further solidifying its role in promoting African music worldwide. As the academy launches, it marks a significant milestone in Africa’s creative evolution—one that promises to transform lives and elevate the continent’s presence in the global entertainment industry.
