Some of our favorite Nigerian artists have been nominated for the 2025 Grammy Awards, giving their fans hope that they may return home with a Grammy to their name. The Grammy show will take place at Crypto.com Arena, Los Angeles, on February 2, this weekend, with stars like Asake, Burna Boy, Davido, Rema, Wizkid, and Tems.
Though the categories in which these artists were nominated are tight due to the competition (against each other and Tyla), Nigerians are hopeful that at least one of these celebrities will bring home an award. The 2025 Grammy Award Show is shaping up to be one of the most memorable award shows in its history, as most of the breakthrough celebrities in 2024 have been announced to perform this weekend1.
The performers at the 2025 Grammy Awards have admittedly had a big year in the music industry 2025, and they are Benson Boone, Billie Eilish, Chappell Roan, Charli XCX, Doechii, Raye, Sabrina Carpenter, Shakira, and Teddy Swims. Unfortunately, no Nigerian artist has been booked to perform at the Grammys this year; however, they have been nominated and here are their nominations for the 2025 Grammys1:
