The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has announced that it will begin its Computer-Based West African Senior School Certificate Examination (CBWASSCE) for private candidates starting on October 25, 2024.
The exercise is scheduled to run until December 20, 2024, according to a statement from the examination body on Tuesday.
“The exam will follow a hybrid delivery method, meaning the objective or multiple-choice questions will be displayed on-screen, and candidates will input their responses directly on the screen. However, for essay and practical questions, while they will also be displayed on-screen, candidates will be required to write their answers in the provided answer booklets,” said WAEC spokesperson Adesina Fadekemi.
Additionally, the examination offers an option for candidates who prefer to take the entire exam using the traditional Paper and Pen mode.
The Council has notified all prospective candidates that the registration period has been extended to Tuesday, October 29, 2024.
“Additionally, the ‘Walk-in-Candidate’ option, which allows candidates to register 24 hours before their selected paper is scheduled, will be available once the registration period ends,” the Council stated.
