The Troost-Ekong Foundation has proudly announced its 2025 charity game, set to take place in Lagos on June 21. This event aims to raise funds for programs designed to create opportunities for Nigerian youth in sports, education, and community development.
In conjunction with the announcement, the foundation has also released a documentary titled “FOUNDATIONS,” which showcases its impactful work in transforming the lives of young Nigerians through its initiatives. Available on YouTube, the film highlights the inspiring stories of youth in Akwa Ibom State who have benefited from the foundation’s efforts.
Super Eagles defender and founder of the foundation, William Troost-Ekong, expressed his excitement about sharing the documentary with the world. “This film is a testament to the hard work and dedication of everyone involved in TEF, and it showcases the incredible potential of young people when given the right opportunities,” he said.
The charity match will bring together top athletes, celebrities, and community leaders, all united in their mission to support and empower Nigerian youth. Additionally, the foundation is establishing a state-of-the-art Sports & Skills Academy in Akwa Ibom State. This academy will provide young people with athletic training, educational resources, and essential life skills to help them succeed.
“The Sports & Skills Academy is a pivotal project for TEF,” Troost-Ekong stated. “We are committed to creating a space where young people can excel in both sports and academics, empowering them to become future leaders and role models.”
Troost-Ekong emphasized the significance of the charity football match as a celebration of giving back to the community. “It’s an opportunity for us to unite and raise vital funds to support our mission. We are looking forward to an unforgettable event in Lagos,” he added.
