Afrobeats superstar Tiwa Savage has made her long-awaited comeback with the release of her fourth studio album, This One Is Personal, arriving five years after her last project, Celia (2020). The new body of work, unveiled on August 29, 2025, marks a deeply intimate chapter in the singer’s career.
Savage describes the album as her most vulnerable yet, drawing directly from personal experiences of pain, healing, growth, and resilience. Recorded across Lagos, London, Malibu, San Francisco, and Nashville, she revealed that she poured “blood, sweat and literal tears” into crafting the record.
Unlike her previous projects, This One Is Personal features only a handful of carefully chosen collaborators, including Skepta, Taves, and James Fauntleroy, artists who she says truly understood her vision. The project blends Afrobeats with soulful R&B, with standout singles like You4Me, a modern Afro-R&B twist on Tamia’s classic So Into You, and On the Low featuring Skepta.
For Tiwa Savage, this return is more than music, it’s a statement of authenticity. By stripping away excess and focusing on raw storytelling, she reconnects with fans through one of her most personal projects yet.
