The reception marked a moment of national pride as the team was celebrated for clinching a record 10th continental title after a dramatic comeback win against hosts Morocco.

The President, joined by First Lady Oluremi Tinubu and top government officials, welcomed the triumphant team with fanfare and heartfelt commendations. Tinubu praised the Falcons for their resilience, unity, and representation of the nation on the global stage, describing them as “true champions who lifted the spirits of millions.”

In recognition of their outstanding achievement, the President conferred the national honor of Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON) on each of the 24 players.
