The Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has approved the recruitment of 150 new firefighters to bolster the state’s emergency response capacity and enhance public safety.
According to government officials, the move is part of ongoing reforms to strengthen the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, ensuring faster response times and improved disaster management across the state.

The recruitment drive is expected to address manpower gaps, expand coverage, and provide Lagos residents with greater protection against fire outbreaks and related emergencies.
