British actor Idris Elba has showered praise on Lagos, describing it as “the most amazing city in the world,” in a glowing review of his time in the Nigerian metropolis. He made the comments while speaking to ETalk TV on the red carpet at the TIFF Tribute Awards.
Elba cited numerous memorable moments during his stay, including filming Dust to Dreams and witnessing the talent in Lagos first-hand. He also noted being moved by seeing the singer Seal performing in his Nigerian accent, an embrace of his Nigerian heritage that Elba said was especially meaningful.
