The match, held in Accra, saw the Black Maidens take an early lead with goals from Getrude Amoafo and Priscilla Mensah. However, the Nigerian Flamingos fought back with goals from Precious Oscar and Harmony Chidi, forcing the game into a penalty shootout.
Ghana’s composure in the shootout proved decisive, as they converted all five of their spot kicks, while Nigeria missed one. Despite the loss, the Flamingos showcased their talent and resilience throughout the tournament, scoring 16 goals in four matches and conceding only four.
