Natasha Offered Me N200m To Accuse Akpabio Of Organ Harvesting, Claims Dr Duru.

A significant political controversy has emerged in Nigeria following allegations by U.S.-based activist Dr. Sandra Duru, also known as Professor Mgbeke. Dr. Duru claims that suspended Kogi Central Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan offered her ₦200 million to falsely accuse Senate President Godswill Akpabio of organ harvesting, linking him to the death of a young woman.

In a Facebook Live session on May 1, 2025, Dr. Duru presented purported evidence, including call logs and WhatsApp messages, to support her claims. She alleges that Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan made the offer after her sexual harassment allegations against Akpabio failed to gain traction. Dr. Duru also claims that the senator suggested the ultimate goal was to undermine what she referred to as the “Yoruba government,” implying a broader political motive.

Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan has categorically denied these allegations. In a statement released on May 2, she described Dr. Duru’s claims as “entirely untrue” and accused her of manipulating audio recordings to serve the interests of Senate President Akpabio. The senator emphasized that the voice effects attributed to her in the livestream were fabricated and vowed to respond appropriately in due course.

Dr. Duru has reportedly submitted the alleged evidence to international security agencies, including the Inter-Parliamentary Union and the Nigeria Police Force, for forensic analysis. She urges these bodies to investigate Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan’s alleged false accusations and her purported knowledge of the young woman’s death.

This development adds another layer to the ongoing legal and political battles involving Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan and Senate President Akpabio. The situation continues to evolve, with both parties standing firm on their respective positions.
