On December 19, 2024, the Royal Box in Victoria Island, Lagos, witnessed a night of glamour and grace as Doris Esiokhayamhe Ogah, a Nigerian lawyer and model, was crowned the winner of the 45th Miss Nigeria Beauty Pageant. This year’s theme, “Beyond Beauty: Reigning Together as Queens,” set the stage for an event that celebrated not just physical beauty but also the strength and unity of women.
The competition saw 45 contestants vying for the prestigious title, with 20 semifinalists and 10 finalists making it to the final rounds. The top five finalists included Ann Eneanya, Divine Nelson, Diane Paul, Oluwabukumi Ogunsanya, and Doris Ogah. After a rigorous question-and-answer session, Doris Ogah emerged victorious, capturing the hearts of the judges and the audience alike.
The outgoing Miss Nigeria, Shatu Garko, congratulated Doris and encouraged her to use her new platform to make a positive impact on society. The panel of judges, which included notable figures such as Mo Abudu, Mai Atafo, Kate Henshaw, and Kelechi Amadi-Obi, praised the contestants for their poise, intelligence, and dedication.
