Regina Daniels, a Nollywood actress, has publicly accused her estranged husband, Ned Nwoko, a Nigerian senator and businessman, of a wide range of alleged abuses including physical, psychological, and medical manipulation.
In a series of Instagram posts on 9 November 2025, Daniels claimed that Nwoko locked her up, confiscated her phones for weeks, and called doctors to inject her with drugs meant for patients with bipolar disorder. She stated:
“You locked me up, seized my phones, and called doctors to inject me with drugs meant for people with bipolar disorder.”
She also accused Nwoko of isolating her from her family:
“You want to find a reason to arrest everyone around me so that I will have no one left beside me… Then, when I’m completely isolated and broken, you expect me to come back to you.”
In addition, Daniels alleges that the relationship was never legally registered as a marriage:
“For the record, I would have filed for divorce long ago if there had ever been a legal marriage between us. We were never married in any court of law … Leave me alone, Ned.”
She admitted to having used drugs in the past, but said this history was used by Nwoko to distract from his alleged actions:
“Fine, I did drugs. So what? … The moment we had a fight, you rushed to the public shouting ‘drugs, drugs, drugs’ because you knew it would make a perfect story for the media.”
She also accused him of holding a private tape of hers:
“Even with my sex-tape, which I pray never sees the light of day. Foolish me.”
On his part, Nwoko has denied the abuse allegations and claims that Regina Daniels’ behaviour (including alleged drug and alcohol use) is the root issue in their marital troubles. He also framed the dispute as part of a bigger “syndicate” trying to use his wife’s condition to tarnish his reputation.
