Former President Muhammadu Buhari hosted a delegation of All Progressives Congress (APC) governors at his residence in Kaduna. The visit, led by Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State, chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF), was a Sallah homage to extend greetings following the conclusion of Ramadan.
Speaking after the meeting, Governor Uzodimma described the visit as symbolic, reflecting unity and respect within the APC. He praised Buhari for his enduring influence, leadership, and the legacy he left as president.
The delegation included Governors AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq (Kwara), Hyacinth Alia (Benue), Lucky Aiyedatiwa (Ondo), Monday Okpebholo (Edo), Inuwa Yahaya (Gombe), Abdullahi Sule (Nasarawa), Biodun Oyebanji (Ekiti), Francis Nwifuru (Ebonyi), Nasir Idris (Kebbi), Usman Ododo (Kogi), and Katsina State Deputy Governor Farouk Jobe.
The governors thanked Buhari for his role in strengthening the APC, crediting him with building a foundation that enabled the party to retain power. They also reiterated the party’s commitment to good governance and democratic values.
Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna described the former president as a father figure who continues to warmly welcome leaders and citizens, underscoring Buhari’s role as a respected elder statesman in national affairs.
